That is a GREAT list of roads you’ve posted……we’ll be doing some of them next year on our Rockies tour. The one on the list we’ve done many times is Highway 1 in California, we always take that route when we go to the Laguna Seca MotoGP race. The views on Highway 1 are breathtaking, but you’ve go to pay close attention to your riding, as cars stop quite unpredictably to check out the scenery. And if you ride it on the Friday of the MotoGP race weekend, between San Luis Obispo and Monterey it’s like Mad Sunday at the TT, sportbikes caning it in 40 mph zones. One unforgettable road we took this summer was Highway 50 thru Nevada, nicknamed “the loneliest road in America”. It runs along parts of the old Pony Express, and it’s just vast and deserted for most of the ride. Better have a large fuel tank for this bit of road!
