There is a wealth of cleaning products out there. The question is which is the best one? One of the many companies is Mucoff who sell cleaning products for an astonishing range of equipment including electronics and marine structures as well as motorcycles and their users. Their mantra is clean, protect, preserve.
Their bike care products range from brushes to all purpose cleaner to waxes. Their Nano Tech cleaning product is particularly interesting due to the ‘Nano’ in the title. Bike cleaners were once at micro scale, which means the components were approximately 1/80th the size of a human hair (I know, hard to imagine). Nano scale is at 1/8000th of a human hair (even harder to imagine!). Mucoff claim this remarkable decrease in size allows the formula to penetrate deeper into the dirt to break it down. As all surfaces are rough , no matter how smooth they appear to the naked eye, the nano-sized corrosion inhibitor particles which are left behind are able to bond to all surfaces. This forms a protective layer making it harder for grime to stick to your bike. Additionally it is biodegradable, nontoxic and contains no harmful acids, CFC’s or solvents. Their rider cleaning range includes wipes for your leathers, helmet and visor cleaners and a freshener & sanitiser.
Have to say I do rather like their funky packaging, though that obviously doesn’t necessarily reflect on the product inside! So, is this the best brand or are there others out there? And do you have any tips for cleaning your bike (or yourself!)?
