Site compatability issues ?

By mikethebike • 5th January 2012 • 50 views

is anyone having compatability issues on the site ?
I have been told about the test issue in the blog box ( you have to click in the very top left hand corner to write not anywhere in the box)
I have also been told that the like box under some blogs and under the video boxes is missing, there also seems to be a displacement of text and map issues.

Have you noticed any faults on the site ?

I have trouble loading pics – It says the pic is loaded then there is no picture. Then the posts come out twice – once with and once without a picture – with no way of me to delete the 2nd one.

Ok when uploading photo’s after you have selected them from your pc or wherever you store them before you clik the “send” button you MUST click the “UPLOAD” button just beneath the browse boxes.

When leaving a comment on some blogs before you can type you normally just click “in” the box then the curser appears in the top left of the box then you can type, If the curser doesn’t appear you have to click in the very top left corner where you would expect the curser to be, then you can type.

    Hope this helps :)

    Hi Tamzin,

I have been trying different things with the avatar problem, i’m guessing at your problem but try this…

It seems that you have to reduce the size of your photo to the correct size required ( or very close to it) before trying to upload..
Try reducing your photo to around 125 pixels by 125 pixels then save it to your desktop and upload it from there., let me know if that helps ?

Ok one more issue has reared it’s head, when clicking on the Video of the latest video link ( bottom right of the page) it takes you to the upload phot’s section and doesn’t mention uploading a video ?

Also the actual video is an old one not ” the other way round” submitted by hawk750….

Hopefully this will be sorted soon…

I reccommended i guy to join the site a little while ago, ( roughly six months) i have recently seen him again and asked why he haddn’t signed up yet, well after a long reply it basically boiled down to the fact that he’d given up with the entry form process.

Problems included using a capital letter in his name, then in the user name, then there was a problem with his user name already being taken, and a few other things.
Each time he had to restart the form virtually from the begining, This resulted in sheer fustration and he gave up. i did it for him earlier this week and am sure i did it all right, seems not as we are still waiting for the confirmation email to activate the account ??

Has anyone else had problems signing up ?

It seems to me that if we want to grow the membership then an easier more user freindly form should be sorted….
