Back to blogging after too long away!

by hornetgal

Ok its been far too long! The past year or so hasn’t been too good due to an ongoing illness which has robbed me of my long walks and general inability to breathe when walking! However once on my bike I am ok!

I still have my er6n which has never missed a beat and has taken me to some interesting places. Me and hubby tend to ride together and as he has sold his Honda vtr1000 we are 2 up on mine till he gets another bike! I must say I hate being a pillion! Especially on my bike!! Ha ha ha but hopfully it shouldn’t be too long ๐Ÿ˜Š we have stuck mainly to east coast rideouts which we have really enjoyed!!

Bridlington always last on route home, we have visited Filey a few times parking near the little cafe opposite Filey Brigg, the views are fantastic! You can see right out to Flamborough lighthouse and it always seems to be less windy? Maybe as the front is in a horseshoe bay so protected from inland winds! Another first time visit was to Runswick Bay while hubby still had his bike, when you turn right opposite the pub in Runswick then immediately right again you only go about 50 yards before you realise you are on the steepest hill ever!! I was nervous but just kept my bike in 2nd gear, and as you come round the bend Runswick Bay in all its glory is below!! It is a magnificent view!!!

Whenย you get to the parking area it is a flat car park so easily accessed. After parking up the bikes we walked down to the small beach. This last bit of a walk was a challenge as you are literally leaning back to stay upright on the steep incline! But it is beautiful! A cafe with seating overhanging the bay and a pub a little higher up! We had some lunch in the pub outside while enjoying the beautiful views!

Then had a wander down to the beach! The short walk back to the car park was hard as my lungs are not capable of too much! But i did it in small goes and before long we were heading back up the hill on our journey home after a fantastic days riding! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
