South East

Although London may dominate the South of the UK, there are still plenty of great attractions, routes and cafes around for motorcyclists. You never too far to pop to the seaside, or to the countryside for some great routes to wind along and enjoy the open road for the day. The South East is littered with biker cafes and groups that meet on a weekly basis, they are always looking for new members to join.

Rideouts & Clubs

Why not try Broadlakes Social Club based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. They host weekly bike meets, classic and vintage bike meets with karaoke and live entertainment most weekends. There is also a large garden with plenty of seating, and a café serving a fantastic full English breakfast. They also host Sunday rideouts with the local motorcycle club. You can't venture far in the South East without finding yourself as part of another Biker meet.

Routes

Looking for a great route instead? Check out the A217 from Pebble Hill (Dorking Road) to Box Hill. 11 miles of perfect straights with the well placed corners to really get your bike into. There’s some fantastic scenery on the way, and you’ll final destination will be Ryka’s Café, who is sponsored by Devitt Insurance - the perfect finishing place after an awesome ride. The routes around the South East aren't all built up, city roads. There's are still plenty of country lanes and sea views to take in when you're out on your Sunday morning ride.

Biker Cafes

The South East is known for its love of biker cafes. The area is populated with loads of biker hot spots so there’s never any trouble of stumbling across one whilst on a ride out. Check out Ace Café, based in London – its biker paradise, especially on a Sunday. One of the most well known cafes across the whole of Britain, and it's in the heart of the capital. With the best grub around, regular bike nights and it's a live music venue too. Get yourself and your bike pals down there for a taste of the Ace Cafe experience.

Tracks

Just looking for a day out? Why not go down to Brands Hatch GP, near Kent. There are often plenty of rider training courses to Go Bike Racing days, and plenty more for the whole biker family to get involved in. Brands Hatch are regular hosts of the British Superbike Championships which attracts thousands of riders and bike enthusiasts all year round. You're always guaranteed a weekend of fun at Brands!
