Nothing says motorbike like being part of a really cool motorcycle club. Check out all your local MCC associations. Pop along and say hello, they are a friendly bunch. Belfast Flyers MCC welcomes all types of bikers, with regular runs, social nights and weekend breaks away. Every Sunday during the summer months, Belfast Flyers MCC host a regular ride out. They aim to cater to what every biker needs.

Routes

The roads of Northern Ireland are a dream for bikers. With some fantastic sights to be seen, and roads to be ridden with fury, why not try the A20 Newtonards to Portaferry. You’ll be racing against the coast of Northern Ireland tackling some great corners and smooth straights. Be careful as visibility isn’t always great with the sea air, but the route leaves a lot to be desired.

Start with a bang and check out Joey’s Bar, based in Ballymoney. The bar is dedicated to the very own legendary Joey Dunlop. You’ll be surrounded by memorabilia of the great biker, and you’ll be sure to meet loads of fans from all over Ireland and further afield. Not your thing? Try out Thunder Road, based in Fleet Street. Thunder Road is completely dedicated to bikes and bikers, with a real Harley-Davidson hanging up behind the bar!

There are plenty of cafes around Northern Ireland that are worth a ride too. Here are some of our favourite picks; pop along to The Blue Light pub, a famous meeting point for bikers which holds regular bike nights with a buzzing atmosphere tucked away in the Dublin Mountains. There’s always the Fibbers Rock Bar, a live music venue for bikers. The walls are covered in rock memorabilia and stylish décor, great way to meet bikers and enjoy fantastic live music.
